FAQ

Your first visit

What do I need to boulder here?

Comfortable clothes. You can rent shoes and other equipment from us. Street shoes are not allowed.

Do I have to register?

Yes – ideally register in advance here. Then download the matching app: iOS / Android

I am between 14 and 17 – what do I need to know?

Make sure you register at home, read the rules together with your parents and have them sign. After that you can come on your own.

I am under 14 – can I come on my own?

Unfortunately not. Please register and have your parents sign. You may come with your parents or with a registered person authorised by them.

I don’t want to climb, only supervise someone or come along.

No problem, you don’t pay anything. Are you supervising someone under 14? Then please register anyway.

Bouldering 24/7

When can I climb?

You can climb essentially any time – except Fridays from 10:00 to 13:00, when the hall is reserved exclusively for parents with children aged 0–3.

Is staff on site?

Staff are only on site when the counter is open. We therefore ask you not to come alone – in case of an accident there would be nobody to help you. The emergency services will come into the hall to you even if nobody opens the door for them.

How do I get into the hall?

You enter using our Resasports app. Buy a ticket or a subscription in the app, then scan your QR code at the scanner next to the main entrance door. Please make sure you don’t let anyone else in with you. EVERY person must scan their own ticket.

How do under-14s get into the hall?

Under-14s cannot use the outside scanner. They must come with someone over 14, who opens the door and takes responsibility. Their tickets are then scanned inside the hall at the corresponding scanner.

I am only accompanying someone – how do I get in?

You can enter as an accompanying person too. Book the “Begleitperson” (accompanying person) subscription and then book the free “Begleitperson” ticket.

I found a loose hold.

If a route has a loose hold, go to the dartboard at the front. There you will find signs you can screw over the starting hold of the affected route. That helps us and everyone else avoid further problems.

I’ve injured myself – what should I do?

In an emergency there is a first-aid kit by the dartboard – please use it in EMERGENCIES only. For minor injuries there are plasters next to it.

There is a problem or an emergency

For very urgent matters – for example someone slipped in through an open door, or someone is behaving violently – call 110. In a medical emergency call 112. For everything else, email us at info@bouldercenter-grenzach-wyhlen.de

Buying tickets and subscriptions online

How do I get in with my online ticket?

Tap the QR code symbol in the app and scan it at the entrance scanner. If you are under 14, use the scanner for under-14s; from 14 use the correspondingly marked scanner. If you are 14 or older a green light comes on and you can simply start climbing. If you are under 14 the light turns orange and a member of staff will ask you to move on.

How do I buy a ticket?

Tap “Tickets” in the app and find the right one. You can buy 11-visit cards and single entries. Single entries are only valid on the day of purchase. If you are under 18 you may buy the correspondingly cheaper ticket:
Youth (10–17 years)
Child (6–9 years)
Small child (3–5 years)
Toddler (1–2 years)

How do I buy a reduced ticket?

If you are a student, a DAV Lörrach member or a pupil, hold a disability card or qualify for another reduction, you first need a subscription for your reduction. Tap “Abos” (subscriptions) and look for either “Ermäßigung/DAV” or “Behindertenausweis”. Book the relevant subscription, after which you can buy reduced tickets. Please remember to send us proof.

What are Early Bird tickets?

Early Bird tickets are valid Mon–Fri from 00:00–14:00 and 23:00–24:00, Sat from 00:00–09:00 and 22:00–24:00, and Sun from 00:00–09:00 and 20:00–24:00. You can only enter the hall during those times, but you are welcome to stay longer.

How do I buy a subscription?

Go to “Abonnements” in the app, choose either a monthly or an annual subscription and pay for it.

How do I check myself in as a visitor?

Book the “Begleitperson” subscription. It costs a one-off €0.50 so that we can validate your payment method. After that you can book the “Begleitperson” ticket free of charge. Please make sure you really don’t climb.

How do family cards work?

If you buy a family single ticket, our staff on site will help you. If you have bought an 11-visit card, an annual card or an annual subscription, come to the counter or email info@bouldercenter-grenzach-wyhlen.de. We will then unlock the ticket for the remaining family members. Want to enter right now and nobody can help you? Simply book a normal ticket and write to us – we will refund it.

How do I get in with my Fitpass, Hansefit or Wellpass?

Book the “Fitpass/Hansefit/Wellpass” subscription. It costs a one-off €0.50 so that we can validate your payment method. After that your QR code always gets you into the hall. Remember that you also have to check in with Fitpass/Hansefit/Wellpass each time.

How do I rent shoes?

Buy the “Schuhe Verleih” (shoe rental) ticket, go to the rental shoe return point and scan your QR code there. When the light turns green you can choose a pair. Please return the shoes with the velcro fastened, in the corresponding box.

How long is a single ticket valid?

Single tickets are only ever valid on the day they are purchased.

Why does my ticket bought on site say “expired”?

We usually don’t redeem tickets bought on site in the system. That is why your profile shows “expired” – which here means the same as “used”.

Using the app

Several accounts with the same email address?

If you want several user accounts with the same email address, the email field must be left blank on all accounts except the first. Please then contact the staff in the hall or email info@bouldercenter-grenzach-wyhlen.de so that we can add the email addresses afterwards.

How do I add several user accounts?

To have several user accounts in one app, open the middle tab in the app, named after your username. Your avatar and name are at the top centre. In this window there is an icon showing two small people – tap it, then tap the plus sign to add further accounts.

How do I access the QR codes of the people linked in the app?

When you open the QR code you can simply swipe left or right to bring up the QR codes of the linked people.

Booking courses and activities

How do I get more information about the course I booked?

In the Resasports app go to “My bookings” → then the booked course → the three small dots → “Sessions”. Here you can see all scheduled sessions. Any further information will be sent to you as a message within the app.

Can I book a trial session for non-performance courses?

Unfortunately not. Just book the course as normal – if you don’t like it you can cancel straight afterwards.

Minimum contract term and cancellation

The regular children’s and youth courses can be cancelled at any time by email or with the course instructor.

How do I book performance courses?

Performance courses cannot be booked directly. Instead you book a trial session. Together with the trainer you then decide whether the course is right for you.

How do I set up PayAsYouGo?

How do I rent shoes with PayAsYouGo?

Yes. New customers get 30% off entry and shoes in their first month. Existing customers benefit from a 15% discount.

How does PayAsYouGo work for families?

Every person needs their own account. You can either all use the same email address or ask us to link your accounts. After that each person simply scans their QR code at the entrance – and off you go.

How do I get a reduction or the disability card discount?

Select the corresponding subscription when registering. The discount is then applied automatically to your entry. If you have any questions we are happy to help at the counter.
